Who are you?

We are a Swiss/German team who have chosen Fuerteventura to set up our family life and share moments with our students coming to surf in our little paradise. We believe in a brighter future and decided to go more green…we have reduced our plastic consumption, and have the project to have a house soon to do permaculture and be self sufficient with food 😉

We love the the ocean, the sun and the tranquility of our island.

SophieCan you tell more about your activity ?

We are located in the north of the island, in Corralejo. The surf course is a great activity to do with family members, or friends. It is lot of fun and moreover it connects you with the nature and gives you a lot of fresh energy. Our academy is for persons willing to learn surfing in a serious way; our instructor Alex is pedagogue and is glad to share all his knowledges with you. Come to try ; we will take you to stunning beaches and will make sure you have a lot of fun !!!

What is the local reality about waste and environmental protection in your location?

Unfortunately, the spanish citizens nor the tourists are well educated on recycling so that is a daily scenery to see litter mixed together in a bin instead of having them recycled in the the right bin. Also, people are not aware that the butts are not going to go to a trash alone, etc.
Unfortunately, it is the circle : people here do not have much money, so they consume what is cheap (burger king, coke, unhealthy food with plastic) and then they are not educated to trash it correctly so we have to collect it in the nature 🙁

How do you integrate tourism and sustainability at the same time?

We collect the litter on the beach that we see, but the most important is we try to sensibilise our students / customers of the problematic to encourage them to recycle (and eat / drink better ;). We had also a van running on frying oil, to use less diesel, and we try influence people on “getting fixed items, rather than buying new”.

mauiWhy do you partner with My Green Trip?

Because we believe in a change for our planet (and then the humans) and My Green Trip is going to that direction. Like Clean ocean project is saying : what makes the difference of a plastic bottle, said 7 billions people !!!

Do you have a special news currently?

It is winter and we are wearing shorts 😉

How can we contact you?
