I believe in sustainable living. Whether you are on the move or staying in your own city for months, leaving no mark or close to none on the planet when we go out and living your life is in my eyes the best gift of all.
I care deeply about animals and nature (with a very soft spot for oceans). We have been given this wonderful planet, and more than ever I am aware that we ought to protect it. This is the one, there is no backup planet. I have 2 main goals in that respect over the next year:
I am thrilled to partner with My Green Trip and become an Ambassador in Paris.
I have been looking for ways to get involved in acting for the planet for months now, and My Green Trip presented itself as an obvious way. Right time. Right place. Right people.
Being an Ambassador will allow me to support and take action for a cause that I strongly believe in, and hopefully let the message and good vibes ripple around me.
I have been feeling hopeless not knowing where to start for months but so desperately wanting to get involved — the collaboration with MGT is what I have been waiting for. Watch out for Paris-based workshops and cleaning sessions.
And did I say I love traveling ?
My last travel was in Morocco last year. One afternoon I decided to go on a walk with a friend at low tides. I was ready for a beautiful landscape, but what was in store for me was a massive wake up call. As I was walking dreaming away at the beautiful scenery, I was shocked to come across so many plastic waste items: bottles, barils, shoes, bags, all there lying on the sand. When I took a wider look, it was all around me. Plastic, plastic plastic. My only solace in seeing this scene was to think that at least, animals in the oceans were spared from ingesting those pieces. But it was hard to watch. I started picking up one bottle, then two, the next thing I knew, I was back to the hotel with both my hands full of waste, wishing I had more hands and fingers. This was my wake up call. From that moment on, I realised it all starts with us, and I decided to find a way to do something about it, one way or another. So there I am 🙂
